• Shuttle service  There are shuttle services providing transportation to all the main resorts and hotels in Park City.  Ask for a drop-off at Prospector Square Lodge.  Shuttle service drops at various resorts en route, so may take 1 hour – 1 hour 30 minutes, subject to weather conditions also.  Shuttle service generally provides a cheaper travel option if you are traveling alone or 2 persons.

Park City Transportation generally runs on the hour from the airport, and currently charges $35 a person (subject to change).  Call 435-645-TAXI

• Taxi cab service  There are several excellent cab services providing transport directly to Prospector Square Lodge.  Prices range from $85 – $120 one-way.  Some companies offer a 10% discount if you reserve your return travel with them also.  Journey time, subject to weather conditions is approximately 40 minutes to 1 hour.  See below for local cab companies.

Driving directions from SLC Airport

From:  Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC)  776 N Terminal Dr,  Salt Lake City.

1.         Start out going SOUTHEAST on ramp.           2.7 miles
2.         Merge onto I-80 E via the exit on the LEFT toward OGDEN/PROVO.   6.1 miles
3.         Merge onto I-80 E via EXIT 304 toward CHEYENNE.  21.7 miles
4.        Take the UT-224 S exit, EXIT 145, toward KIMBALL JCT./PARK CITY. 0.5 mi
5.        Merge onto UT-224 toward KIMBALL JCT/PARK CITY.   5.6 miles
6.         Turn LEFT onto KEARNS BLVD/UT-248.     0.6 miles
7.         Go through one set of lights, and then turn RIGHT onto SIDEWINDER DR. 0.4 miles
8.         Follow the road, just past the second right turn, you will see a sign for Prospector       Square Lodge (opposite the Grub Steak House).

Transportation within Park City

The free Park City bus service runs frequently from outside Prospector Square Lodge in both directions.  It takes only several minutes to all the ski resorts (Park City Mountain, Deer Valley and The Canyons) and to Park City Main Street.

On foot

Park City is very accessible to pedestrians even in winter. In the neighborhood, many restaurants and cafes are within 5 minutes walk.  The local grocery stores are several minutes walk away.  And Park City Main Street on clear days is an enjoyable
15 minute walk along the trails.

For Sundance many of the local theaters are within several minutes walk.  Prospector Theater is on site, The Eccles theater, Yarrow theater and Holiday Village theater are an easy 10 - 15 minutes walk.

Parking at Prospector Square Lodge

On-site (off-road) parking is available for all studios.  Parking is free, and a parking pass can be collected from the reception area.  Please use this and display it clearly in your vehicle to avoid towing.

Sundance parking is available.  We recommend however, due to the restrictions on parking throughout Park City during the festival, that you use local transportation and festival shuttle buses once you are in Park City.
